Trading in financial instruments involves high risk. The user may lose some or all of the trading capital. Neither software nor historical statistics guarantee profit or safety of funds.
1. Total trading risk and leverage
The price of the instrument can change quickly, and leverage increases both profit and loss. Losses can occur faster than expected and, depending on the broker/product, exceed the margins applied.
2. Automated trading
The algorithm executes a given rule without a human evaluation of each event. Errors in logic, parameters, data, or integration can cause unforeseen trades, repeated orders, no output, or incorrect volume.
3. Software, VPS and Internet
Failures in applications, platforms, VPS, power, network, clock, updates, files, and licensing can stop or distort trading. The user is responsible for monitoring, redundancy and the ability to safely stop the system.
4. Broker, execution, liquidity and slippage
Spread, commissions, delay, slippage, gaps, liquidity, order rejection, symbol specification and broker rules can significantly distinguish the result from the model. ATS does not control brokerage execution.
5. Restrictions on backtesting
Backtest is a model based on historical data. It depends on data quality, performance assumptions and costs. It may not include delays, market impact, changes in specifications, or other real limitations. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
6. Overfitting and regime change
Parameters can be re-optimized for the past. Correlations and market regimes change; the strategy that worked in the test may stop working or get a deeper and longer drawdown.
7. Third-party platforms
MetaTrader, brokers, operating system, VPS and other providers are independent. Their inaccessibility, updates or changes to API/rules may render the software incompatible or temporarily inoperable.
8. User configuration
Position size, capital, symbols, timeframe, risk, broker and parameters are determined by the user. The setup example does not take into account personal financial situation and is not a personal recommendation.
9. Historical indicators
The percentages of return, maximum drawdown, Profit Factor, Sharpe and other indicators refer only to the specified test / period. The future drawdown may be higher than the historical one, and the result may be negative.
10. Independent decision
Before using the software, the user should assess compatibility and risk, review the documentation and, if necessary, obtain independent legal, tax or financial advice from a qualified professional.
